Sanju Samson, who was retained by Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2022, has opened up on Virat Kohli’s captaincy. The 33-year old recently resigned from Test captaincy after India’s defeat in South Africa. His decision ended one of the best successful tenures in the Indian cricket.
Samson, who played under Virat, mentioned his three qualities. According to him, Kohli was motivational, aggressive and instilled fire in all the players.
Virat led India to win in 40 Tests matches, and was among the best leaders in the history of cricket. Meanwhile, Sanju will lead Rajasthan in the upcoming edition of the tournament. The right-handed has found life tough in international cricket.
Despite his superb batting display in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League, he has failed to replicate the same performance in international cricket.
