Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt feels Suryakumar Yadav will have to work on his consistency. He stated that if the right-handed batter fails to score, several players can replace him.
SKY started the T20I series against New Zealand with a well-compiled fifty in the opening game but registered 1 and 0 in the next two matches. Although India won the series 3-0, the middle order problems haven’t been sorted yet.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Butts said – “Suryakumar will have to score regularly to remain in the team. He plays very well in one or two innings and then gets easily in the next 2-3 innings. If he doesn’t grab his chances, India have many players who can take his place.”
The 31-year old has scored 244 runs in 11 T20I matches at a strike rate of 155.41 with three half-centuries.
