Former India skipper and one of the greatest players, Sachin Tendulkar, has refused to participate in the second edition of the Road Safety World Series due to a payment issue. Several cricketers have complained of unpaid dues from the first season.
Sachin, who played for India Legends, which won the tournament in the first edition, hasn’t got his full payment for the season and has decided to move away from the series.
He was also the ‘Brand Ambassador’ of the tournament’s first edition.
“Sachin will not be a part of the tournament in any form.” a source close to developments told PTI.
“Sachin is among many cricketers the organizers haven’t paid,” the source confirmed.
