The third T20I between South Africa and the West Indies has been delayed due to lightning. South Africa captain Aiden Markram won the toss and elected to bowl first, with the players from both sides taking the field. However, the umpires told the West Indies openers and the South Africa fielders to leave the field.
According to the ICC ruled and regulations, the match can’t go ahead unless the lightning stops completely.
The Proteas have already won the series, following their success in the first two games. South Africa and the West Indies will head to India for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 after completing their white-ball matches.
