Sanjay Manjrekar has lambasted Team India’s bowling after defeat in the second Test match. He observed that Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Shardul Thakur didn’t bowl the right length, depriving them of wickets and leaked runs.
India lost the match by 7 wickets, allowing the Proteas to level the three-match series 1-1. Manjrekar wants the bowler to adopt the off-stump line in low-scoring matches.
“If you noticed, most of the balls were on the stumps. There has a to be a ceratin line and length when you bowl on South Africa pitches,” he said.
“If the ball is pitched outside the off stump, it creates a doubt in the mind of a batter. Now that everything was coming into the stumps, there were runs for the taking,” he added.
