When asked to select one of Rahul and Karthik, RP said Rahul lacks confidence.

KL Rahul had a pretty ordinary ODI series as a player and captain. The team led by the 29-year old lost the series 0-3. However, despite his below-par display with the bat, he surpassed Virat Kohli to register a big record in the history of Indian cricket.

The 29-year old has scored the most runs in the first 40 ODI innings for the Men in Blue. He has amassed 1585 runs, surpassing Virat’s tally of 1583.

Navjot Singh Sidhu (1541), Shikhar Dhawan (1541), Ambati Rayudu (1447), and MS Dhoni (1392) are part of the top-six batters.

Rahul registered 12, 55, 9 in a three-match series in the Rainbow Nation.
