Former South African batter Daryll Cullinan has slammed Virat Kohli for his outburst after an lbw decision against Dean Elgar was overturned by the third umpire. According to Cullinan, Virat has got away with unacceptable behavior due to money power. On Day 3 of the Cape Town Test, there was a controversy after on-field umpire Marais Erasmus gave the South African captain out.
However, ball-tracking showed the delivery going over the stumps, and the decision was overturned.
“Focus on your team as well and not just the opposition,” said Virat on the Stump mic. Cullinan was not impressed with the Test skipper.
“Virat and other Indian players are untouchable because of the money power. India is the powerhouse of cricket. I can’t believe Indian cricketers could think along those sorts of lines. Yet, Virat has got away with such behavior, which is unacceptable on a cricket field, he said.
