It was Jasprit Bumrah in the first Test and now Mohammed Siraj has done some damage to his hamstring. The pacer, who was in the middle of an excellent spell, pulled out before bowling the last ball of his 4th over. He was taken off the field by physio. Shardul Thakur completed the 17th over of the Proteas innings.
It was the second last over of the day and the good thing is that Siraj has enough time to recover if it is a minor issue. The hosts were 35/1 on Day 1 of the second match.
Earlier, India scored just 202 in their first innings, with KL (50) and R Ashwin (46) making useful contributions. While Marco Jansen took 4 wickets, Kagiso Rabada and Duanne Olivier dismissed three batters each.
