Team India missed Rohit Sharma in South Africa as KL Rahul, and Mayank Agarwal failed to provide consistent starts to the team. Barring the first innings of the opening game, the openers were undone by the rivals. According to PTI, Rohit is expected to play in a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka.
The first Test is scheduled to be played from February 25 at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Then, the action will move to Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, for the second and final Test from March 5. Finally, the three T20Is will be played on March 13, 15 and 18.
Meanwhile, Rohit has become one of the best in Test cricket as well. He was the highest Test run-scorer for the national team in 2021. His impressive batting was behind India’s success in England.
