Rohit Sharma is approaching a couple of major records in T20Is. The 34-year old will lead India in a 3-match series against Sri Lanka.
He is all set to overtake Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik on the list of players with the most appearances in T20I cricket. If he plays all the 3 matches against the visiting Lankan team, he will surpass Malik’s tally of 124 matches.
Only nine players have been part of more than 100 matches in men’s T20Is, and Rohit is the only Indian on the elite list. MS Dhoni (98) is second, while Virat (97) is third on the list. However, Virat has been rested from the upcoming series.
