Team India’s limited-overs skipper Rohit Sharma is expected to make a comeback with a white-ball series against the visiting West Indies team. “Rohit is fit and will play against the Windies,” a senior BCCI source told PTI on conditions of anonymity.
“He is training in Mumbai and will visit the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for the final fitness Test,” the source added.
Hardik Pandya’s comeback
Hardik Pandya has started bowling, and even though his complete status is still not clear, the below-par performance by Venkatesh Iyer and Rahul Dravid’s admission that Pandya was missed, could lead to his selection for the West Indies series.
“Hardik was dropped after the ICC T20 World Cup as selectors wanted to send him a message. If not against the Windies, he will definitely play against Sri Lanka,” the source said.
Even Ravindra Jadeja is fit, and is in line to play against the West Indies or Sri Lanka.
