Rohit Sharma’s weakness against left-arm seamers once again came to trouble him in the CSK vs MI match in IPL 2025. He couldn’t handle Khaleel Ahmed and was dismissed without troubling the scorers after facing four deliveries. The right-handed batter tried to play a flick shot on the leg side of the wicket and gave a simple catch to Shivam Dube.
Former Mumbai Indians and India player Ambati Rayudu was not pleased with Rohit’s stroke and slammed the former skipper.
“You know left-arm seamers trouble you. You should have played him easily. You should have taken a single and gone back to the non-striker’s end, but you chose to play that stroke,” he said on Star Sports.
Rohit has been impacted by inconsistency across formats in international cricket. He showed form in patches against England and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, but his overall performance is a concern for the management.
After retiring from T20Is, he was expected to score heavily in the IPL 2025, but the veteran disappointed his fans and former players by gifting his wicket to rivals.
