Team India left behind Yashasvi Jaiswal after the opener’s act of indiscipline angered captain Rohit Sharma before the Brisbane Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The visiting team was supposed to leave Adelaide on Wednesday for the airport to catch a flight to Brisbane. All players, support staff members, and the chief selector, Ajit Agarkar, came to the lobby of the team hotel before 8:30 AM local time. But as per a Sports Tak report, Yashasvi Jaiswal was missing.

The southpaw came late and his act was not taken lightly by Rohit. He came out of the team bus and told the logistic manager to look for Jaiswal. “The team’s security officer and the manager also came out of the bus, and after discussion, it was decided to leave behind the player,” the report said.

When Jaiswal reached the lobby, the bus had already left the hotel. “He was 20 minutes late and the team management arranged a car for him. He left with the team’s senior security officer for the airport,” the report added.

Virat and Bumrah boarded a chartered flight with their families to Brisbane.

Indian players didn’t practice on Wednesday in Brisbane and had their first net session on Thursday. Virat Kohli was seen talking to all the players and then spent time with the assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate.

Rohit worked hard in the nets, and he is likely to play in the middle order, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul opening the innings.
