The 35-year-old surpassed Mohammad Azharuddin’s tally (9378 runs) to become the sixth-highest run-getter for the Men in Blue.
He needed just 3 runs before the game and achieved the landmark in his 234th contest. Rohit registered the landmark in style by hitting a four off Hasan Mahmud in the second over of India’s innings.
