Veteran Indian wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik has lauded Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid for their brilliant work with the national team. The Men in Blue defeated West Indies in six games and the combination of Rohit and Dravid has worked out well so far. In the matches, Rohit has led India, he has been praised for his tactical moves.
The 34-year old has been spot on with his field placements and rotation of bowlers. As per new rules and regulations introduced by the ICC, a captain can’t take a lot of time while implementing his strategies. However, Rohit was impressive against the Kieron Pollard-led team.
Karthik was delighted to see Rohit’s captaincy moves and feels the team is moving in the right direction under Sharma and Rahul’s guidance. He further added that India have been able to overcome flaws while winning the series comfortably.
“I have enjoyed Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. He has been spot on so far. He is tactically very strong. I liked the way team has played against West Indies,” he said.
“The new coach and captain is taking the Indian team to a new direction. They have plugged the small holes, which were a cause of concern for the team. They have become number one in T20Is,” he added.
