With a place in the top four in the ongoing edition of IPL at stake, the Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians are up against each other. As the playoff race is heating up, players have started verbal mind games. However, in MI vs PBKS match, there was a moment when Rohit Sharma and Krunal Pandya displayed great sportsmanship.
The incident took place in the 6th over of Punjab’s innings when Krunal Pandya was bowling.
Chris Gayle hit the ball hard which hit KL Rahul. The ball went to Krunal who ran him out at the non-strikers’ end.
However, the left-arm spinner was quick to withdraw his appeal and also urged his captain Rohit Sharma to not take the call to the third umpire. The skipper agreed and the match went ahead. Even rival skipper KL Rahul was impressed with the gesture and he gave a thumbs up to Rohit after the over. The fans also lauded Krunal Pandya and Rohit Sharma.
