Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in 2023 ODI World Cup
Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and the guys who can anchor the innings and play spin well will have a massive role to play in the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Team India had a good super 12 stage at the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia, winning four games. The fans expected a tough fight between the Men in Blue and England in the semi-final at the Adelaide Oval, but it turned out to be one-sided as the Jos Buttler-led team won the contest by 10 wickets.

India had a very poor start, with KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakumar departing early. Although Virat Kohli scored fifty, he took too many balls to reach the mark. It was down to Hardik Pandya’s aggressive knock that took the team to 168.

However, England made a mockery of the target as Alex Hales and Jos Buttler went on carnage from the start. Buttler smashed an unbeaten 80 off 49 deliveries, while Hales made a destructive 47-ball 86 to finish the game. England defeated Pakistan in the final to lift the trophy.

Alex Hales didn’t blame the Indian bowlers for the loss. Instead, he put the onus on the batters and said that the rival team was 30 runs short.

“They lost because of batters and not bowlers. A total of 160 or 170 is easily chasable at the Adelaide Oval. I was expecting India to score around 190,” he said.

“Jos and I decided to attack from the start. It was not poor bowling from India.
