Robin Uthappa
Veteran opener Robin Uthappa has done well for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2022.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 will start on March 26, with the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings taking on Shreyas Iyer’s Kolkata Knight Riders at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The new season will welcome two new franchises – Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans.

The teams have started practicing ahead of the cash-rich league. All the group matches will be contested in Mumbai and Pune.

The IPL is the second major T20 league this year after the Pakistan Super League ended in February, with Lahore Qalandars winning their maiden title.

Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa, who was bought by Chennai Super Kings, gave a mouth-shutting reply to a Pakistan journalist.

“No comparison between PSL and IPL! PSL started in 2016, while IPL was inaugurated in 2008. However, one must admit PSL gained worldwide popularity quicker in an era when other boards had introduced their leagues. In contrast, there was no competitor in the market when IPL was born,” Arfa Feroz Zake wrote.

“IPL created the market…?” The market of what? Betting?match-fixing?spot-fixing?The market where cricketers got suspended due to involvement in fixing. The market where Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were suspended for two years for involvement in fixing. What a market!!” he further added.

Replying to the tweet from the journalist. Uthappa wrote, “IPL created the market!!”
