Sharing his views on the same, former England spinner Monty Panesar has said that Virat Kohli should hand over the reins to Rohit Sharma at least in the shortest format of the game, keeping the upcoming T20 World Cup in mind.
“I think the T20 captaincy probably should be given to Rohit Sharma, he does really well for Mumbai Indians. You know Virat Kohli is under pressure and if India don’t perform in the five-match series against England and loses T20 World Cup 2021, then you know what will happen,” Panesar told CricBouncer.
