Former India player Ajay Jadeja said that Rishabh Pant’s injury is a blessing in disguise for him. He said although Pant will miss a lot of games, he will have plenty of time to reflect on his game.
“It is sad to see a young player will lose out on a long period of time, but he will come out of his injuries. This will be the first time he will get time to think about his game and where he went wrong,” he said on Cricbuzz.
“We start playing cricket at a young age and doesn’t get time to reflect on our game,” he added.
Pant has been a part of the Indian national cricket team since 2017 and has played in all formats of the game.
He was recently dropped from the white-ball teams after failing in Bangladesh. Pant suffered a car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway on December 30. After being treated at Max Hospital in Dehradun, he was airlifted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital for the treatment of ligament tears.
Jadeja said that Pant would become a better player after rehabilitation.
