In the Johannesburg Test, a lot of words were exchanged between South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen and Rishabh Pant of India. It all started when Pant took a catch to dismiss Rassie in the first innings and the South Africa player tried to distract the young wicket-keeper batter while he was batting. In South Africa’s second innings Rishabh went after Van der Dussen.
The South Africa player was the winner as Pant was dismissed after his verbal slugfest in the second innings. “I asked some questions which he didn’t enjoy. There was no hostility from my end. May be he took it in a wrong way,” the South Africa batsman said on ESPNCricinfo.
“When I went out to bat, they were after me. It is part and parcel of the game as everyone is trying to win over his opponent,” he added.
