Rishabh Pant and Avesh Khan have known each other since their U-19 days.

Rishabh Pant and Avesh Khan have known each other since their U-19 days, and the duo carried on with their friendship at Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League.

Avesh Khan became a top performer under the leadership of Rishabh Pant, and the franchise wanted to buy him back at the IPL 2022 mega auction. Avesh was released ahead of the auction in Bengaluru.

However, the Indian pacer couldn’t join his former team despite their best effort as Lucknow Super Giants snapped him for INR 10 crore.

In his recent interview with Sportskeeds, Avesh stated that Pant apologized to him for failing in their quest to resign the star bowler.

“After our flight landed in Kolkata, I met Rishabh outside, and he held his arms wide open for hugging me. He said sorry to me as Delhi Capitals weren’t left with a lot of money and had other players to buy.

When I watched the auction later, I could see they bid for me at 8.75 crore, but Lucknow Super Giants bid the highest amount. So it was an emotional moment for both of us.”
