The remaining matches of the Indian Premier League 2021 are about to start with Mumbai Indians taking on Chennai Super Kings on September 19. MS Dhoni-led franchise was second in the points table when the league was halted following the emergence of Covid-19 cases in the teams.

MS Dhoni was not in good touch during the first leg. He scored just 37 runs in seven appearances at a dismal average of 12.33.

With the mega auction taking place next year, there is a chance of seeing MSD in some other franchise. While Suresh Raina is the vice-captain of the franchise, Ravindra Jadeja has expressed his desire to lead the team. Recently, a fan page of Chennai Super Kings posted on Twitter. “Who would be your pick to captaining the CSK team after MS Dhoni?”

Jadeja came up with a cheeky reply and wrote: 8. Jadeja’s jersey number is 8 in the league. However, Jadeja decided to delete the tweet later.

Jadeja was in good form earlier this season. In seven matches, he scored 131 runs with his strike rate being over 160. He also took six wickets at an economy rate of 6.7.
