Former Indian batter Sanjay Manjrekar reckons that all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will find it tough to get a place in the Playing XI.

India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is excited to be back with the Men in Blue after recovering from injury and is looking forward to performing in the upcoming T20I and Test matches against Sri Lanka. He was at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru after injuring himself in the Test match against New Zealand in Kanpur in November 2021.

Jadeja had to miss the South Africa tour and home series against West Indies. However, he has returned to the limited-overs set-up, gaining full fitness.

“Say hello to all-rounder @imjadeja and vice-captain @Jaspritbumrah93 as they join #TeamIndia for the Sri Lanka series. @Paytm | #INDvSL,” BCCI posted a video welcoming Jadeja and vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah.

“It is a good feeling to back. I am looking forward to playing the T20 matches and the Test series. I am fine, and I will be playing for India,” Jadeja said in a video posted on BCCI TV.

“I wanted to recover fully before playing for India and was working hard on my fitness at NCA,” he added.
