Head coach Rahul Dravid's frequent breaks
Ravi Shastri has opined on head coach Rahul Dravid taking breaks from the international series.

Ravi Shastri, the head coach of Team India, is planning to leave the national squad after the T20 World Cup in the UAE and Oman. Along with him, bowling coach Bharat Arun, fielding coach R Sridhar and batting coach Vikram Rathour are also expected to leave.

Shastri has informed cricket board members that he is planning to part ways with the Virat Kohli-led team after his contract ends. The governing body of Indian cricket also wants a new team on board.

Ravi Shastri took over the team after Anil Kumble’s controversial exit in 2017. Under his guidance, India won two away series in Australia before reaching the finals of the World Test Championship last month.

While Arun played a key role in shaping India’s bowling unit, R Sridhar will always be remembered for improving India’s fielding.

The board will invite applications for the coaching positions after the T20 World Cup.
