Ravi Shastri with dog
Former India head coach Ravi Shastri enjoyed a successful tenure with the national team.

Team India head coach Ravi Shastri on Tuesday took to his official Twitter handle and shared a heart-warming video of himself playing with a dog.

Shastri is currently in England along with Virat Kohli-led side for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final in Southampton, followed by the five-match Test series against Joe Root’s men.

While India arrived at the Ageas Bowl directly after landing in the United Kingdom, the Black Caps recently reached Southampton after the conclusion of their final Test of the two-match series against England at the Edgbaston.

Meanwhile, sharing an adorable video with a dog on micro-blogging platform, Shastri wrote, “Our buddy Winston earns himself a tennis ball after #TeamIndia’s practice session #WTCfinal.”

The dog belongs to the Ageas Bowl pitch curator Simon Lee.

While Shubman Gill (85 off 135 balls) and Rishabh Pant (121 not out off 94 balls) starred with the bat in the practice game, veteran pacer Ishant Sharma impressed everyone with his bowling exploits.

On Day 3 of the intra-squad match, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja smashed an unbeaten half-century  while Mohammed Siraj took a couple of wickets.
