Rashid Khan is the best T20 spinner in the world at the moment. His biggest challenge would be to bowl to Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer, the two Indian batters who have been going great guns in international cricket.
While Pant hit the fastest Test fifty by an Indian batter, Shreyas Iyer scored 92 and 67 in the second Test against Sri Lanka.
Rashid, who is a part of the Gujarat Titans, has enjoyed many battles with the two Indian youngsters in the past. Going into the 15th season of the league, the classy spinner reveals that the key to bowling to Pant and Iyer, without being hit for boundaries, is to avoid bowling loose balls.
“You can’t bowl loose balls to Rishabh Pant and Shreyas. As soon as you bowl those deliveries to them, they will hit you for boundaries. They power they have is what allows them to clear the boundary easily,” Rashid told TOI.
“So for such batters, I have it in my mind that, no mistake, no loose balls to them. My line and length should be good.” he added.
