Ramiz Raja, who is serving as the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, recalled getting an invitation for the IPL from the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly.

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ramiz Raja announced a number of new projects for the game. He also listed his and Pakistan team’s achievements since becoming the head of the board. However, former Pakistan cricketer Tanvir Ahmed wasn’t pleased with Raja’s statement.

Ahmed, who represented Pakistan in 5 Tests, 2 ODIs and a sole T20I, he was hoping to see better performance from Raja, but even he has been disappointing.

“He hasn’t done anything good. The selection criteria is still not on merit,” said Ahmed on his official YouTube channel, as quoted by Pakistan’s news outlet Samaa TV.

“He is passing time rather than working for the better of cricket in Pakistan,” he added.

Raja has also announced the start of junior PSL. “Instead of holding a Junior PSL, chairman should have focused on organising two-day or three-day tournaments. He is destroying Pakistan cricket.

“The young players will think that they don’t need to play long form cricket and instead focus on hitting sixes.”
