Former India cricketer Rahul Dravid - now head coach of the national team - has denied reports that he will be a part of the BJP's Yuva Morcha meeting.

Former India cricketer Rahul Dravid – now head coach of the national team – has denied reports that he will be a part of the BJP’s Yuva Morcha meeting in poll-bound Himachal Pradesh. He said the report was ‘incorrect’.

“A media section has reported that I will attend a meeting in Himachal Pradesh from May 12th-15th, 2022. I wish to clarify that the said report is incorrect,” Dravid told news agency ANI.

Earlier, Vishal Naheria, the BJP MLA from Himachal’s Dharamshala, had claimed the former India skipper would attend the BJP Yuva Morcha meet between May 12 and May 15.

He told ANI that Dravid’s participation would send a message to the youngsters that they could make their careers in politics and other fields.

“National Working Committee of BJP Yuva Morcha will be held in Dharamshala from May 12 to 15. Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid will also participate in the meet. This will send a message to youngsters that they can look for a career in politics and other fields,” he said.
