India head coach Rahul Dravid returned to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and interacted with cricketers from the North East and Plate Group. Dravid was joined by current NCA head coach VVS Laxman as the legendary players shared their knowledge with the young players.
It was Dravid’s first visit to the NCA after quitting the role of the head following his appointment as Team India’s coach after Ravj Shastri’s tenure ended.
Dravid spent about 45 minutes with the players who are working under the guidance of world-class coaches, including Ashes-winning bowling coach Troy Cooley.
The NCA has organized the camp for players from the North East and Plate Group from April 18 to May 12. NCA chief VVS Laxman took to social media to thank Dravid for his visit.
“Many thanks to my good friend & Team India head coach Rahul Dravid for having taken the time to speak to players from the North East & Plate group attending the NCA camp in Bengaluru. I am sure the boys would have welcomed the chance to take a peek into Rahul’s mind,” Laxman said on social media.
