Haris Rauf has come a long way in his international career. He is Pakistan’s leading bowler in T20Is, and his express pace has troubled the batters in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup.
He was Team India’s net bowler a few years ago and bowled to Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Hardik Pandya.
Haris recently revealed that Hardik and KL had predicted his international debut even before he came to the limelight.
“I bowled to them in Sydney, and they motivated me a lot. Both of them told me that I would soon play for Pakistan. I told them I would one day bowl to them, and they remembered everything when we met in Australia. It is nice to bowl to big players as you learn a lot from them,” he told paktv.tv.
Pakistan have won two games and lost as many in the global event Down Under. They will play their last game against Bangladesh, but even a win in that wouldn’t confirm their place in the tournament’s semis. A lot will depend on the results of other teams.
