Chasing a target of 506 against Australia in the ongoing second Test, Pakistan had lost two wickets with just 21 runs on board. But captain Babar Azam rose to the challenge to score a ton that kept the hosts in the game.

India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took note of Babar Azam’s heroics in Karachi and hailed the right-handed batter for his impressive hundred.

Ashwin thinks that the match would have an interesting finish on Day 5. “Babar Azam, going to be an exciting finish tomorrow. #PAKvAUS,” tweeted Ashwin.

At stumps on Day 4, Pakistan were 192/2 needing 314 more runs to win the Test and go 1-0 up in the ongoing three-match series. Babar shared an unbeaten partnership of 171 runs for the third wicket with Abdullah Shafique.

Babar and Shafique were batting on 102 and 71 respectively. For Australia, Nathan Lyon and Cameron Green took wicket each on the second last day of the game. The first Test had ended in a dull draw.
