Sehwag believes that this would be a way to show respect for the country's culture and heritage

Virender Sehwag has made a big statement on Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shaw. While Pant has been a regular in Whites, Shaw lost his place after a few ordinary performances.

The southpaw has represented India in 30 Tests, scoring 1920 runs at an average of 40.85. He has hit 4 hundreds and 9 fifties.

On the other hand, the right-handed batter has accumulated 339 runs at an average of 42.4 in 5 Tests. He has smashed 1 hundred and 2 fifties.

“He (Prithvi Shaw) is a player who can bring back the excitement in Test cricket,” Sehwag said Sports 18’s show Home of Heroes.

“Pant and Shaw can help India rule Test cricket, win World Test Championship. Rivals will think twice if 400 would be enough with Shaw and Pant in our ranks,” he added.
