It was not easy for her to watch the proceedings from outside, having been injured during the last league match against Bangladesh.
“I can’t express my feelings. The flag on my shoulder holds great significance for me. It is surreal to be with the team. Injuries are part of the game. I am happy, and I love this team. We are the first Indian team to lift the World Cup trophy.
“The whole nation deserves this. It was harder to watch from outside than to play in the middle. Wickets and boundaries gave me goosebumps. The crowd and the energy were incredible,” Pratika said.
