Team India dropped Prasidh Krishna and added Arshdeep Singh to the playing XI in the third ODI against New Zealand.
Former all-rounder Irfan Pathan questioned management’s decision to replace Prasidh Krishna with Arshdeep Singh in the third ODI between India and New Zealand on January 18. With the series levelled at 1-1, head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Shubman Gill decided to make one change in the series decider on January 18.

“I am not convinced, as you will not be able to prepare bowlers if you keep making changes. I like Arshdeep Singh, and he is a good bowler, but you didn’t play him in the first two ODIs. You played Prasidh in both games, and he should have played in today’s game. He is a genuine wicket-taker, and it is important to give regular chances to players,” Irfan Pathan said.
Meanwhile, Gill won the toss and elected to bowl first in the last game of the three-match series. The Men in Blue won the series opener by 4 wickets while the Kiwis secured a 7-wicket win in the second game in Rajkot.
