Pietersen
Indian fans on Twitter trolled Kevin Pietersen for his Hindi tweet on England winning the toss against India in the ongoing pink-ball Test.

After facing a crushing defeat in the first Test, Team India put up an excellent show in the second match to register a 317-run win against England at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. Kohli & Co. showed great character to draw level in the ongoing four-match series.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel together cleaned up the top order of England batting line-up. None of them managed to score a big total. However, Joe Root tried to stick around but wickets kept on tumbling from the other end eventually, the visitors were all out for 164 on Day 4.

While Axar took a five-wicket haul in his Test debut, Ashwin picked up the key wickets in the form of Rory Burns, Dan Lawrence, and Ben Stokes.

As soon as the Indian team won the game, former England batsman, Kevin Pietersen took to his official Twitter handle to congratulate Virat Kohli-led side. Although he also took a cheeky dig at India’s victory by saying that the hosts defeated the England B team. The visitors were without some of the big names for the game like James Anderson, Jofra Archer, Jonny Bairstow, and Jos Buttler.

“Badhai ho india, England B Ko harane ke liye,” the 40-year-old tweeted.

As expected, Pietersen’s tweet didn’t go down well with many Indian fans as they trolled him on the micro-blogging platform.

Both teams will next take on each other in the third Test, starting from February 24 at the newly-revamped Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad.
