Haris Rauf falsely claimed that he was injured and refused to play in the upcoming three-match Test series in Australia. He was slammed by chief selector Wahab Riaz for saying no after agreeing to travel with the squad. He was also warned of consequences.
However, Pakistan Cricket Board has now given him the NOC to play for the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League 2023.
Zaman Khan and leg-spinner Usama Mir have also got permission from the board.
The PCB said that this decision is in the best interests of all the parties involved while balancing the importance of game time with workload management.
Haris and Usama will play five matches while Zaman will compete in four games. All these contests are set to take place from December 7 to December 28.
