However, the players didn’t show any interest as they are more interested in playing for Australia.
Cummins and Head have contracts with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League. Cummins was retained for INR 18 crore, while Head got INR 14 crore. The Australian players earn around AUD 1.5 million (INR 8.74 crore approx) from their central contracts.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the discussion about the IPL franchise approach took place between Cricket Australia and other stakeholders during a meeting to privatise the Big Bash League (BBL).
“The discussion was held on whether BBL should be privatized or not. The meeting took place between Cricket Australia, state cricket associations, and the players’ union,” the report said.
“The offers to Cummins and Head show about the potential of the BBL and how private capital can take it to new heights, with an increase in players’ salaries.”
