Rishabh Pant continues to disappoint in the shortest format of the game. In the second T20I against New Zealand, the Southpaw was promoted as an opener but scored just 6 runs.
He was preferred over Sanju Samson, who has been in good touch. The right-handed batter was ignored for the ICC T20 World Cup but was included in the squad for the series in New Zealand.
On the other hand, Pant had a mediocre World Cup and even failed to break the shackles against the Kiwis.
Fans have turned against him as he has hardly done anything despite getting many chances in the T20 format.
Pant was brutally trolled for his poor run with the bat and fitness.

Meanwhile, India beat New Zealand by 65 runs, with Suryakumar Yadav scoring an unbeaten 111 runs off 51 balls, laced with 11 fours and 7 sixes.
