Kamran Akmal believes that the addition of Umran Malik has strengthened Team India’s bowling unit.
He lauded the management for giving regular opportunities to the young pacer.
Kamran opined that the Men in Blue will have a good bowling unit for the next year’s 50-over World Cup in India.
“Umran Malik is a good addition to the Indian bowling unit. It is good that the team management is giving him regular chances. India are known to have a weak bowling unit.
“However, things will improve When Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammad Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar return. They will have a lot of options to choose from. For the Men in Blue, bowling will not be an excuse at the 2023 World Cup.”
Umran Malik was impressive in the second ODI against Bangladesh. He took two wickets and conceded 58 runs from 10 overs.
