Salman Butt believes that Babar Azam’s captaincy across formats is in danger after Pakistan national cricket team failed to win a single Test against England. He feels the team will be under pressure to perform in the white-ball series against New Zealand.
“There is pressure on captain Babar Azam. The management knows they will be replaced. Babar Azam is made to feel that he is under the scanner. This is not good for the team as there is uncertainty about the captain. How long is he there?” he said.
Meanwhile, Babar was asked about his captaincy and the chance of his sacking after the Test series against New Zealand, which ended in a draw.
He refused to talk much, saying his focus is on the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand.
“I have no information about the captaincy issues. My job is to perform for the team and get the best out of the players,” he said.
