Pakistan Super League is one of the most followed T20 tournaments globally, having completed seven seasons.
Lahore Qalandars recently defeated Multan Sultans by 42 runs to win their maiden trophy in the competition.
The premier T20 league of Pakistan is the only event in cricket history to see all the participating franchises winning it since its inception in 2016.
Islamabad United lifted the trophy in 2016 and 2018, while Peshawar Zalmi got hold of the coveted title in 2017.
The 4th edition saw Quetta Gladiators’ dominance while Karachi Kings ended up as the winners in 2020.
Multan Sultans won their maiden title in 2020. Coming back to the recent edition,
Lahore scored 180-5 in the allotted 20 overs with veteran player Mohammad Hafeez amassing 69 off 46 balls after skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi won the toss and opted to bat first.
Hafeez also took two wickets before Afridi added three scalps to his bowling figures to dismiss the rivals for 138 in 19.3 overs.
Qalandars was the only team in this year’s competition that had beaten Multan, led by Mohammad Rizwan, in the league game.
