Pakistan sensation Shahnawaz Dahani said it was a dream come true for him when he met MS Dhoni during the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and explained the valuable tips he got from the legendary player. He also wants to meet England pacer Jofra Archer.
Dahani was unstoppable in the Qualifier game against Lahore Qalandars and picked up three wickets for just 19 to help Multan Sultans register a big victory in the Pakistan Super League 2022. The right-arm pacer has represented Pakistan in two T20Is so far.
Meanwhile, Archer is out of action due to his elbow injury. Mumbai Indians recently bought him for INR 8 crore at the IPL 2022 mega auction. However, he will miss the 15th season of the tournament and is expected to come back in IPL 2023.
Dahani further said that he followed Shane Bond in the past and is currently a fan of Archer.
‘I used to follow New Zealand’s Shane Bond and wanted to become a pacer with fast speed just like him. But, after his retirement, I started following Jofra Archer, and I want to meet him soon,” Dahani told in an exclusive interview with Cricket Pakistan.
‘Meeting MS Dhoni was a dream come true for me, and I can’t forget that moment. His words were quite beneficial as he told me a lot of things. He told me that there will be good and bad days in cricket, but you have to accept it and stay focused on the game.”
