Sarfaraz Ahmed has taken a dig at former Pakistan skipper Salman Butt. Ahmed is currently leading Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2022. He took to Twitter to take a potshots at Butt. Ahmed said that a player who sold his country while on duty shouldn’t lecture others on intention and morality.
“Pakistan ko on duty beachne wala fixer jub niyat pe bhashan dega phir to Allah he Hafiz hai .#justsying,” he wrote.
Earlier, Butt had stated that Sarfaraz should focus on his performance instead of getting bothered about others in the team.
Butt said that Ahmed is creating problems for himself and he should work towards regaining his place back in the Pakistan team. Butt pointed out that Sarfaraz is travelling with the team as a second-choice stumper in the last 18 months.
“He (Sarfaraz) is not doing any favour for himself. He is only creating difficulties for himself, and I’m sure he won’t have any answer for that today.”
“He needs to concentrate on himself; he needs to look after his own performance, as he has been travelling with the Pakistan team as a second-choice wicketkeeper in the past 1.5 years. He needs to look after his own performance and not interfere with others’.’
