Former Australian captain Michael Clarke believes that the best way for Pakistan to beat Australia is by preparing spin tracks.
The Aussies have struggled in the sub-continent conditions in the past. Pat Cummins feels that adjusting to the conditions in Pakistan will be key to success.
The visitors are touring Pakistan after 24 years for all-format tour. “If Pakistan was smart they would prepare rank turners. The match could get over in three days and that’s a risk. I don’t think they have the courage to do that, but if they do, that’s the best way to defeat Australia,” he said.
“If they make it like India, where there is inconsistent bounce and big spin, completely different game. Then Australia is in for a real dog fight.”
They drew 1-1 against Bangladesh, lost 1-2 against India and suffered a whitewash against Sri Lanka in their last three visits to the subcontinent.
