India will take on Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022 match on August 28. This will be the first time when the two sides meet since the T20 World Cup match last year when the Men in Green defeated India by 10 wickets.
Former Pakistan skipper Rashid Latif said the massive 10-wicket defeat in the World Cup damaged India’s reputation.
“India are not thinking about the World Cup. Their focus is on the Asia Cup as the loss against Pakistan caused a lot of damage to the Indian team, so they are trying to recover from it,” Latif said on his official YouTube channel ‘Caught Behind’.
“The contest between the two countries is crucial. The management would pay attention to the match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup. If all the players are available for India, they can be favourites.”
