Pakistan came back strongly after the defeat against India in the campaign opener of the Asia Cup 2022.

The Pakistan cricket team saw many changes for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022. Hasan Ali was dropped while Shoaib Malik was not considered by the selectors.

There are concerns over the lack of firepower in the middle-order and former Pakistan player Tauseef Ahmed has slammed the Pakistan Cricket Board.

“The same old players are coming back in some or the other form. When something this crucial is coming up, you go back to those cricketers about whom you once said that they should leave cricket. It means you don’t have back-up players,” he said.

“We want to see good performances from our players but PCB doesn’t pick right cricketers. Pakistan care about 2-3 matches against India and not the Asia Cup 2022. If we win these, that’s it for us. This is not the way to prepare for one of the big tournaments,” he added.
