India and Pakistan will compete in the 2022 Asia Cup on August 28. Both sides haven’t met since the last year’s T20 World Cup, where Babar Azam-led team defeated the Men in Blue by 10 wickets.

Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif believes that Pakistan will have the upper hand when the two rivals meet in the Asia Cup.

‘Pakistan is looking consistent, but India are playing with their combinations. They have appointed seven captains in the last one year,” said Latif.

“Kohli and Rahul are not there. Rohit returned for the West Indies series. Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant came as captains, Shikhar Dhawan led in ODIs. I think they would have problems even forming their best XI,” he added.

Latif added that Pakistan are favourites for the Asia Cup clash. “India lost the T20 World Cup clash because of its mistakes. Pakistan will again benefit from India’s mistakes.”
