Pakistan captain Babar Azam claimed that critics will still find faults in their performance despite winning the second game against England. Babar and Mohammad Rizwan shared an unbeaten partnership of 203 runs as the captain accumulated 66-ball 110.
The tourist piled on 199 runs, with skipper Moeen Ali amassing 55 off 23 balls. However, it was not enough as Pakistan won the game easily.
“Who am I to say anything? We always give our best to the team. We don’t pay attention to what people say. We face criticism even if we play well, and the critics just wait for a chance. The total we chased today, we have done it in the past,” he said.
“Rizwan and I played according to the situation of the match. We executed our plans successfully.”
He also talked about the aggressive approach and taking criticism positively.
“You plan as per the situation of the game. It depends on how you take things, as it can go negative or positive. We listen to every player’s point of view without criticism. Our job is to win games for the country.”
