The right-handed batter took his tally to 7993 runs, leaving behind Kumar Sangakkara, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, and Rahul Dravid.

Aussie vice-captain Steve Smith is a treat to watch when it comes to Test cricket. The right-handed batter has broken Sachin Tendulkar’s world record of most 50+ scores in the first 150 Test innings.

Smith has 2 more innings left to complete his 150th in red-ball cricket. His knock in the ongoing first Test between Australia and Pakistan was his 61st fifty-plus score in the game’s longest format.

Smith has been a dominating force in this version of cricket and has a career average of more than 60.

The 32-year-old is close to scoring 8000 Test runs which includes 27 hundreds as well.

Earlier, Usman Khawaja (96 runs), Marnus Labuschagne (90), and David Warner (68) played crucial innings for their team. Australia are touring Pakistan after 24 years and are competing in a three-match Test series.

They will play three one-day internationals and a lone T20I in the sub-continent country.
